Omkring sju hundra personer samlades i staden Cork på Irland för att protestera mot regeringens stränga åtgärder mot covid-19. Bland talarna fanns Corks före detta ordföranden för landstinget (county council) Diarmuid O’Cadhla som hävdade att faran med covid-19 har överdrivits och att nedstängningen är onödig.

”People are genuinely frightened – they are living in fear, needlessly”, sade Diarmuid O’Cadhla.

En annan talare, Peter O’Donoghue, sade:

”I march for all the people who have died lonely from all causes since this lockdown started and were never given a proper funeral – I march for their families too who have not been able to grieve properly because of this unnecessary lockdown.”
