Nick Cannon är en afroamerikansk rappare, komiker, skådespelare och programledare. Fram tills juli förra året ledde han ledde han improvisations-showen Wild ‘n Out på MTV.

TV-bolaget avbröt samarbetet efter att Nick Cannon gjort kontroversiella uttalanden om vita och judar. Han påstod bland annat att vita människor är underlägsna svarta och beskrev dem som ”vildar”:

So, therefore, the only way that they can act is evil. They have to rob, steal, rape, kill in order to survive. So then, these people that didn’t have what we have – and when I say we, I speak of the melanated people – they had to be savages… They’re acting as animals so they’re the ones that are actually closer to animals. They’re the ones that are actually the true savages.

Nu har dock TV-bolaget återupptagit samarbetet med Nick Cannon och nya avsnitt av Wild ‘n Out ska sändas snart.

Matt Walsh, en konservativ bloggare och youtuber som skriver krönikor för Ben Shapiros sajt The Daily Wire, kommenterade på Twitter att en vit som gjort liknande uttalanden om svarta inte hade haft lika lätt att göra comeback:

Nick Cannon called white people subhuman savages and is getting his job back. Please shut up about ”white privilege.” He is exercising a privilege here that would never be given to any white person.
